About Daniel Harel

Hi! My name is Daniel Harel. I regularly take long walks, go kitesurfing, and daydream for hours at a time. I was born in Spain, and moved to the Dominican Republic when I was sixteen. After twenty years of working as a commercial photographer and IT consultant, I wanted to pursue more artistic endeavors so I moved to New York City to complete my New Media Narratives certificate at the International Center of Photography. Currently, I am working on a project exploring behavioral changes during the pandemic by combining self-isolation portraits at home, crowd-sourced stories, and data visualization.
